Every day we will host a virtual summer camp for teens from 2-3ish, in which you make cool stuff! This project is by Make Magazine and Google+ and will be SUPER rad! http://makezine.com/maker-camp/

What kind of stuff can I expect to make?

Well, no one knows for sure what the whole project list will be, but vinegar rockets, polymer clay, desktop biospheres and animated gifs are on the first weeks’ list of projects.

How long is this going on?

July 16 until August 24, we’ll try to have all the supplies ready around 2 pm Monday through Friday.

Who can attend?

Anyone ages 10-18

What does it cost?

Oh, you silly person. It’s free, like all library events, of course! However, we may ask you to bring cheap/free stuff from home, such as soda bottles or stuff like that.

If you could bring in your own basic kit including duct tape, a screwdriver, and a hobby knife, that would be fantastic.

Do I have to come to the library?

No, if you want to make this stuff at home you certainly can. But we’re going to have interactive webcam stuff here so you can talk to the counselors, and a big-screen showing of the projects and field trips, plus your friends and all.
