Due to rapidly changing circumstances, the library will reduce hours Monday, March 16, to 1-5 PM, Tuesday, March 17, to 1-5 PM, and Wednesday, March 18, to 10 AM-12 PM. We will then be closed to the public until further notice.
This decision was not made lightly. The health and safety of our library patrons and staff is a priority for the Library Board of Trustees of the Lomira Quad/Graphics Community Library. Given the announcement of active COVID-19 cases in surrounding counties and the closure of all schools in the state of Wisconsin, it was determined that now is the time to take proactive steps to contribute to the effort to slow the spread of the disease.
We realize this impacts those of you who use the library greatly. All due dates for library items currently checked out will be extended to April 30. Our outdoor book drop will remain open during this time. However, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or are not able to return your library materials right now, please do not feel obligated to do so.
At this time, we encourage you to access the many digital services your library provides, such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines, databases and online classes. Please visit our website for more information about our digital collections and services. All upcoming library card registrations will be extended to April 30 to allow for uninterrupted access of our electronic content.
We are continuing to monitor the situation closely as it evolves, to stay up-to-date on information and guidance from federal and state agencies, local government, health organizations, and other experts, and to communicate updates to you, our valued community members. We will be posting updates to our website and Facebook site.
Thank you for your patience during this time and we look forward to welcoming you back in the building when the time comes.
Camrin Sullivan, Library Director
